Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
After surviving Vitesse at the weekend, Twente will look to give fans yet another reason to celebrate when they take on Heerenveen in the Eredivisie round 7. The Reds aim to keep their 100% record at home intact, but they will have to showcase their worth on the field. Midfielder Naci Unuvar misses out with injury, while all Max Bruns, Joshua Brenet, and Gijs Smal are major doubts.
De Superfriezen, on the other hand, have been struggling at the back of late, with the team conceding 15 goals in total in the last four league matches and that is probably the main reason why home win should be considered. In their last meeting at De Grolsch Veste Twente hammered Heerenveen 4-0, which is yet another reason why we are going to bet on the home side. As for the away team, Timo Zaal is a major doubt and he will be assessed ahead of the kick-off.
Highlighted Team (Twente):
Based in the city of Enschede, Twente is a Dutch football club that welcomes their rivals at De Grolsch Veste. The venue was opened on May 10, 1998, and the capacity of the stadium is 30,205 people. The club was founded in 1965 as a merger of Sportsclub Enschede and Enschedese Boys.
The Reds did remarkably well to win the Eredivisie title in the 2009/10 season, with the team finishing the process only one point clear of Dutch giants Ajax. As a result, Twente booked their place in the Champions League group stages. The Reds did well to collect six points in their group, but that did not help them make it to the last 16.
Twente are well known for their red jerseys, but they wear dark blue shirts when playing on the travels. The Reds take on Heracles Almelo in the Twentse Derby. Sander Boshchker is leading Twente’s all-time goal-scoring chart with 653 goals on his account.
