After making 28 appearances in the league for the club, the Portuguese defender joined Atletico Club de Portugal in the 2011/2012 season. In 2012 Goncalo Silva signed a deal with Braga B, but after scoring two goals in 83 appearances for the club, he joined his current club Belenenses in 2015.
The Portuguese footballer made his Primeira Liga debut in on October 26, 2015, in a 1-0 win over Uniao Madeira. His primary position is a centre-back, but he is capable of producing fine displays as a right-back as well.
