Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Estadio da Luz will host Sunday’s Portugal Primeira Liga fixture between Benfica and Maritimo, the two teams who sit in the opposite halves of the table. The title contenders are having a perfect start to the season and will be looking to extend their winning streak in the national championship. Roger Schmidt’s charges haven’t lost any of their twelve competitive games from the start of the season, meaning that they are brimming with confidence ahead of the visit of Maritimo. Joao Mario and Goncalo Ramos are pushing for a start after both missed previous game due to suspension, whlist João Victor and Lucas Verissimo are sidelined with injuries for the home team.
Maritimo, on the other hand, have already suffered six defeats this season, and, as a result, they sit in the relegation zone with zero points in their account. The traveling side are desperate to grab something from this match, however, they will have a mountain to climb in round 7. We are positive that the hosts will emerge triumphant in Sunday’s clash. There are no fresh injury worries in the away side.
