Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Boavista will try to put an end to their six-game winless run in Primeira Liga when they take on Arouca on Matchday 17. The Black and Whites failed to spoil Porto’s party at Estadio do Dragao, with the team remaining in the relegation zone, but this match could be the turning point for Cristiano Bacci’s troops. Defender Rodrigo Abascal is banned for the match, while both Moraes Pires and Joao Goncalves miss out with injuries.
Arouca, on the other hand, head into Saturday’s game following a 1-1 draw with Gil Vicente. As Lobos will go for a win in the relegation six-pointer as well, we believe that there is a big value in betting on both teams to score. In their last meeting in the Portuguese top flight, Arouca defeated Boavista 2-1, which goes in favour of our earlier prediction. The good news for the visiting team is that midfielder David Simao is back from suspension.

Famous Fellow city club Porto are considered Boavista’s main rivals and the two teams face each other in O Derby da Invicta and there have always been fireworks in clashes between the two local rivals. A Panteras did well to win their first and only Primeira Liga trophy in the 2000/2001 season, with the team finishing the campaign only one point clear of Porto.
