Benfica
Boavista will try to claim a major scalp in the Primeira Liga round 6 when they take on Benfica on Monday evening. As Panteras are eager to put an end to their four-game winless run, but they will have a mountain to climb against the Lisbon Eagles. Goncalo Miguel limped off with injury in a 2-2 draw with Boavista, with Joel Silva likely to step up.
The title hopefuls, on the other hand, have already dropped too many points in the new Primeira Liga campaign. As Benfica produced a fine display in a 4-1 crushing of Santa Clara at the weekend, we are tempted to place our bets on the visiting side. In their last meeting in the Portuguese top flight Benfica defeated Boavista 2-0, which goes in favour of our earlier prediction. As always, a man to watch in the away team will be Argentina superstar Angel Di Maria, while forward Tiago Gouveia continues to miss out with injury.

Angel Di Maria is a professional footballer who played for Argentine side Rosario Central at the start of his senior career. The left-footed winger is very quick on the ball and he often makes life difficult for opposition defenders. After playing for Benfica between 2007 and 2010, the Argentine superstar signed for Real Madrid on 28 June, 2010 for a fee of €25 million + €11 million in bonuses.
Despite impressing with los Blancos in the 2013/2014 La Liga campaign, the club chiefs decided to sell him to Manchester United on 26 August, 2014. Di Maria was playing below expectations at Old Trafford and he scored three goals in 27 league games for the Red Devils.
In 2015 he moved to Paris Saint-Germain and he scored 10 goals in 29 league appearances for les Parisiens in the 2015/2016 Ligue 1 campaign. In 2014 he won the Champions League trophy with Real Madrid and that is considered the biggest success of his career. Angel Di Maria was born in Rosario on 14 February, 1988.

Founded on August 1, 1903, Boavista are a Portuguese club that welcome their rivals at Estadio do Bessa. The capacity of the venue is 28,263 and it was built back in 1911. As Panteras (The Panthers) are well known for their black and white shirts and white is the dominant colour of their away kit.
Famous Fellow city club Porto are considered Boavista’s main rivals and the two teams face each other in O Derby da Invicta and there have always been fireworks in clashes between the two local rivals. A Panteras did well to win their first and only Primeira Liga trophy in the 2000/2001 season, with the team finishing the campaign only one point clear of Porto.
Boavista have five Taca de Portugal trophies (1974/75, 1975/76, 1978/79, 1991/92, 1996/97), with the team winning Supertaca de Portugal three times (1979, 1992, 1997).
