Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Farense and Moreirense take on each other at Estadio de Sao Luis in the Primeira Liga round 18. Farense are on a three-game winless run in the Portuguese top flight, with the team failing to find the net in two of their previous three league matches. Leoes de Faro are stuck at the bottom of the table, and we are positive that they will fight tooth and nail against Moreirense. Vasco Seabra’s troops, on the other hand, aim to move closer to the Europa League berth.
Moreirense did well to beat Famalicao on the road in midweek, and seeing that Farense are likely to adopt an attack-minded approach in Monday’s showdown, we predict that the visitors will seal the victory on the break. Farense boss Vasco Seabra should have a full squad to choose from, while Amador, Franco, Lacerda, and Pedro are all likely to miss the game through injuries for the visiting team.
Highlighted Player (Djalma ):
Born in Luanda, Angola on May 30, 1987, Djalma Campos is a forward who plays for Farense in Primeira Liga. Djalma played for the likes of Loures, CAC Pontinha, and Alverca during his youth career before joining Maritimo B in 2006.
The Angola international then played for the Maritimo senior team, scoring 19 goals in 96 appearances for O Maior das Ilhas. In May 2011, Djalma signed a deal with the famous Portuguese club Porto, but he scored no more than one goal in 14 appearances in Primeira liga for the Dragons.
The pacey attacker played for the likes of Kasimpasa, Konyaspor, Genclerbirligi, PAOK, and Alanyaspor as well before joining his current club Farense. His primary position is right winger, but he is used as both left winger and attacking midfielder as well. Djalma has a dual citizenship (Angola/Portugal), and his contract with Farense should expire on June 30, 2021.
Highlighted Team (Moreirense):
Moreirense are a Portuguese football club based in Moreira de Conegos. Founded on November 1, 1938, Os verdes e brancos welcome their rivals at Parque Moreira de Conegos Guimaraes, the venue which can hold up to 9,000 spectators.
Moreirense wear green and white shirts and white shorts when playing at home, whilst black and red are the dominant colours of their away kit. In the 2016/2017 season Os verdes e brancos did well to win the Taca da Liga trophy, with the team beating Braga 1-0 in the title game.
Caue scored the winner for Moreirense on the stroke of half time. Moreirense impressed in the 2018/2019 Primeira Liga season, finishing the process in sixth position in the standings. The club missed out on a place in the Europa League on goal difference to Vitoria de Guimaraes. Penafiel are considered one of the club’s main rivals.
