Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Estadio Cidade de Barcelos will host Saturday’s game between Gil Vicente and Belenenses. Os Galos aim to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Vizela, and they are surely capable of beating the rock-bottom side in front of home fans. Gil Vicente recorded three wins in the previous four league fixtures, but they will have to prove their worth on the field. The good news for the hosts is that defender Talocha is back from suspension.
O Belem, on the other hand, desperately needed a win against Vitoria Guimaraes, and they managed to get one. The rock-bottom team, though, struggle on the road, and they are unlikely to spoil Gil Vicente’s party at Estadio Cidade de Barcelos. Alioune Ndour remains on the sidelines through suspension, while both Rafael Camacho and Francisco Teixeira should miss out with injuries.
Highlighted Player (Pedrinho):
Born in Cristelo, Portugal, Pedrinho is a professional footballer who plays for Pacos Ferreira as a midfielder. Pedrinho spent his youth career at FC Cristelo, and in 2003 he moved to Freamunde.
The Portuguese player continued playing for Freamunde at the senior level, and after scoring 18 goals in 120 appearances in the league for Os Capoes, he moved to Pacos Ferreira in 2016. Pedrinho played for Vila Mes on loan in 2013 as well, scoring five goals in 16 appearances in the league for the club.
His primary position is attacking midfield, but he is capable of producing excellent performances at both central and right midfield. Pedrinho has a contract with Pacos de Ferreira until June 30, 2020. In the 2018/2019 Primeira Liga season, the Portuguese midfielder scored one goal and provided five assists for his teammate. His preferred foot is right, and he wears the number 12 jersey.
Highlighted Team (Belenenses):
Founded on September 23, 1919, Belenenses are a Portuguese club that host their rivals at Estado do Restelo. The stadium can hold up to 19,856 spectators and it was built in 1956. O Belem play home games in blue shirts and white shorts and white is the dominant colour of their away kit.
By beating the likes of IFK Goteborg and Rheindorf Altach Belenenses booked their place in the Europa League group stages in the 2015/2016 season. Despite defeating Swiss side Basel in their group, the Portuguese club eventually finished the process in the last position in the standings.
The Estado do Restelo outfit did well to win the Primeira Liga trophy in the 1945/1946 season, with the team finishing the season only one point clear of second-placed Benfica. Speaking of the Portuguese Cup, Belenenses clinched their third Taca de Portugal trophy in the 1988/1989 season. Vitor Godinho is the player with most appearances for the club (272).
