Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Estadio D. Afonso Henriques will host Saturday’s football game between Guimaraes and Moreirense. Pepa’s troops aim to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Sporting CP where they had their opportunities to score the equalizer. Guimaraes are eyeing their third home win of the season, and they are likely to go all guns blazing at Moreirense. Both Estupinan and Almeida are pushing for a start.
Moreirense, on the other hand, came from behind to share the spoils with Ferreira in their last league match, with the team scoring the equalizer from their one and only shot on target. Joao Henriques’ men have been struggling on the travels in the 2021/2022 Primeira Liga season, and even though Canada international Steven Vitoria returns from suspension, we are tempted to put our money on the hosts. In their last meeting at the venue Vitoria Guimaraes recorded a 2-0 win over Moreirense.
Highlighted Player (Falaye Sacko):
Born in Bamako, Mali on May 1, 1995, Falaye Sacko is a pacey right-back, who plays for Vitoria Guimaraes in the Primeira Liga. Sacko has 11 caps with Mali, and he scored his first goal with the national team on June 16, 2019 in a friendly against Algeria.
Speaking of his club career, Sacko started his senior career at Djoliba, and in 2015 he joined Hungarian outfit Ujpest. After failing to see any game action in the Hungarian top flight, the Mali international moved to Vitoria Guimaraes in 2016. He first played for the Guimaraes B team, making his professional debut in the Segunda Liga clash against Atletico CP on February 17, 2016.
Falaye Sacko, who has established himself as a first-team regular at Vitoria Guimaraes, wears the No. 17 jersey. His primary position right-back, but he is used as a left-back as well.
Highlighted Team (Moreirense):
Moreirense are a Portuguese football club based in Moreira de Conegos. Founded on November 1, 1938, Os verdes e brancos welcome their rivals at Parque Moreira de Conegos Guimaraes, the venue which can hold up to 9,000 spectators.
Moreirense wear green and white shirts and white shorts when playing at home, whilst black and red are the dominant colours of their away kit. In the 2016/2017 season Os verdes e brancos did well to win the Taca da Liga trophy, with the team beating Braga 1-0 in the title game.
Caue scored the winner for Moreirense on the stroke of half time. Moreirense impressed in the 2018/2019 Primeira Liga season, finishing the process in sixth position in the standings. The club missed out on a place in the Europa League on goal difference to Vitoria de Guimaraes. Penafiel are considered one of the club’s main rivals.
