Possignolo moved to Portimonense on loan in 2014, and after scoring four goals in 57 appearances in the league, he signed a permanent deal with the Primeira Liga club in 2017.
The Brazilian defender made his debut in the Portuguese top flight on August 17, 2017, in a 2-1 home win over Boavista. Possignolo scored his first goal in the Primeira Liga in a 5-1 home defeat to Porto on February 25, 2018. His primary position at Portimonense is a centre-back, and his preferred foot is right.
Lucas Possignolo was born in Piracicaba, Brazil, on May 11, 1994. The 185-cm-tall defender, who wears the number 3 jersey at Portimonense, joined Sao Paulo at the age of 17.
