Rio Ave and Nacional go head to head at Estadio do Rio Ave on day 17 of the new Primeira Liga campaign. Rio Ave have been having a tough fixture list of late, with the team sharing the spoils with Sporting, while losing to both Santa Clara and Porto in the previous two league matches. Mario Silva’s men are eager to put an end to their four-game winless run in all competitions, and we are positive that they will fight tooth and nail against Nacional.
The Black and Whites, on the other hand, aim to build on a 2-1 win over Famalicao. Nacional are tough to beat at home, but given their poor away record in the Primeira Liga, we believe that the time has come for Rio Ave to get back on course. Both Junio and Pereira are sidelined with injuries for the hosts, while Nacional boss Mario Silva should have a full squad to choose from.

Lucas Piazon is a Chelsea player who played for several clubs on loan during his career. After joining the Blues in 2012, the Brazilian winger signed a loan deal with Malaga in 2013. After making no more than 11 appearances for los Boquerones in the Spanish top flight, Lucas Piazon moved to Vitesse at the end of the 2012/2013 season.
Piazon impressed in the Eredivisie, scoring 11 goals in 29 appearances for the Vitas in the Dutch top flight. The Brazilian footballer played for the likes of Frankfurt, Reading, Fulham, and Chievo as well before joining Primeira Liga club Rio Ave in 2019. Lucas Piazon made his Primeira Liga debut on September 15, 2019, in a 4-2 home loss to Tondela.
His primary position is left winger, but he is used as a right winger and attacking midfielder as well. Piazon was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on January 20, 1994, and he has five caps for Brazil U23 team.

Nacional is a Portuguese football club based in Funchal, on the island of Madeira. Nacional compete in Primeira Liga, with the team hosting their rivals at Estadio de Madeira. The stadium was opened in the winter of 1998, and it can hold no more than 5,132 spectators.
Nacional is one of the oldest clubs in Portugal as it was founded back in 1910. Los Alvinegros are well known for their white shirts with black stripes, with the team wearing yellow jerseys when playing on the road. Nacional have great rivalry with neighbouring club Maritimo, with the two clubs facing each other in the Madeira derby. Los Alvinegros have won AF Madeira Cup on six occasions (1943/44, 1944/45, 1973,74, 1974/75, 2001/02, 2007/08).
The 2003/04 campaign is considered the most successful season in the history of Nacional as they finished the process in the 4th position in the standings. As a result, they booked their place in the UEFA Cup. In the 2009/10 season Nacional participated in the Europa League group stages, facing the like of Athletic Club, Austria Wien, and Werder Bremen in Group L.
