Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Santa Clara and Portimonense take on each other at Estadio de Sao Miguel in what is expected to be a close encounter. Santa Clara aim to make amends for a 2-1 loss to Sporting CP, with the team eyeing their fourth home win of the process. Os Acoreanos defeated Ferreira 3-0 in their last home game in the Portuguese top flight, which is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of the visit of Portimonense.
Paulo Sergio’s men, on the other hand, aim to build on a 3-0 win over Tondela. Portimonense aim to escape the danger zone in the Primeira Liga table, but, no doubt, they would be happy with one point from the match. It has to be noted that the two sides played out a 1-1 draw in their last meeting at Cidade do Futebol.
Highlighted Player (Fabio Cardoso):
Fabio Cardoso is a Portuguese defender who was born in Agueda (Portugal) on April 19, 1994. In the summer of 2017, he signed a four-year deal with Vitoria Setubal, but he spent only one season at Estadio do Bonfim. Cardoso joined Scottish club Glasgow Rangers in June 2017, signing a three-year contract with the club for a fee of around £1.3 million.
The Portuguese defender, though, made no more than 12 appearances for the Gers, joining Santa Clara in the summer of 2018.
