Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Sporting CP play host to Moreirense at their Estadio Jose Alvalade in the closing match of the Primeira Liga round 6. The Lions aim to build on a 2-1 win over Famalicao and they are seen as hot favourites to pick up all three points from Monday’s clash. All Braganca, Catamo, and Santos remain in the recovery room, while Japan international Morita is a major doubt. Midfielder Pedro Goncalves has overcome his minor injury.
Moreirense, on the other hand, are not considered good travellers and given their nine-game losing run to Sporting CP in Lisbon, anything but a routine home win would be a big surprise. In their last meeting at Estadio Jose Alvalade, the Lions defeated Os Verdes e Brancos 3-1. Midfielder Vasco Sousa is rated doubtful for the visiting team after picking up a knock in the last league match and the 22-year-old will be assessed ahead of the kick-off.
