There will be fireworks when Crystal Palace and Chelsea take on each other in the London derby. The Eagles aim to escape the danger zone, but they will have a big fish to fry in Saturday’s showdown. All Tomkins, McArthur, and Ferguson remain in the recovery room, while the opposition back-line should have Ivory Coast international Wilfried Zaha at bay.
The Blues, on the other hand, quickly bounced back from a 2-1 loss to Southampton, with the team beating West Ham in the local derby. Thomas Tuchel’s troops aim to rejoin the title race, and seeing that Palace suit them, away triumph should be considered. Chelsea emerged triumphant in each of the previous ten meetings between the two sides in all competitions. Thomas Tuchel has no fresh injury worries, but N’Golo Kante faces race against clock to be fit for the local derby.

A talented French youngster Jean-Philippe Mateta worked his way up through football’s less glamorous landscapes plying his trade at local amateur sides and third-tier outfits before Ligue 1 giants Lyon took notice of his 11 goals in 22 matches and brought him to the big league.
Having failed to make it into the first team in a debut season with Les Gones, Mateta was shipped out to Le Havre, leading the club to promotion play-offs. Bundesliga side Mainz took notice of his ability and came calling in the summer of 2018 after he bagged 17 goals in 35 league matches. An imposing physical presence at his 192cm, Mateta is a mobile forward and a decent dribbler who can finish with both of his feet.
Having worked his way up from the very bottom, Jean-Philippe Mateta is a committed individual determined to make a name for himself. His impressive goalscoring record got rewarded in the form of France U19 call-up in 2017.

Over the years Chelsea have established themselves as one of the dominant forces in the English Premier League. Roberto Di Matteo helped the team win their first ever Champions League trophy (2011/2012), but it has to be noted that they were more than fortunate to beat Bayern Munich in the title game.
Chelsea have been playing at Stamford Bridge since 1876 and they are a real force to be reckoned with at home. The Blues have won seven FA Cups, five League Cups, two UEFA Cup Winners’ Cups and the UEFA Europa League. Rafael Benitez was in charge of the team that faced Benfica in the 2012/2013 Europa League final, with Branislav Ivanovic scoring the winner for the Blues in the title clash.
After lifting the 2014/2015 Premier League trophy, the Blues largely struggled in the next campaign, which saw Jose Mourinho’s second spell with the club come to an end, and Antoine Conte went over to take the reigns for the 2016/2017 season.
