Our prediction for this Premier League match:
Craven Cottage will host Saturday’s football game between Fulham and Aston Villa, the two top-table sides. The Cottagers aim to make amends for a 3-2 loss to Man City, but they face yet another tough challenge against the Champions League-chasing Villans. Carlos Vinicius is a major doubt, while Jorge Cuenca remains on the sidelines with injury.
Unai Emery’s men, on the other hand, have a chance to regain their spot in top four. As Villa are likely to adopt an attack-minded approach in the Craven Cottage clash, we are tempted to bet on both teams to score. Ezri Konsa has overcome his minor injury, while fellow defender Tyrone Mings will be assessed ahead of the kick-off. Experienced Villa midfielder John McGinn remains on the sidelines with injury. In their last meeting in London Aston Villa defeated Fulham 2-1, which goes in favour of our earlier prediction.
Highlighted Player (Bernd Leno):
Bernd Leno is a German goalkeeper who plays for Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen. The 190-cm-tall shoot-stopper started his career at the youth team of SV Germania Bietigheim and he played for VfB Stuttgart during his youth career as well.
After making 56 appearances for Stuttgart II from 2009 to 2011, Bernd Leno started playing for the first-team in the 2011/2012 season. Over the years Leno has established himself as a first-choice goalkeeper at BayArena outfit and he plays for Germany national team as well. The Bayer Leverkusen man made his debut for Germany on May, 29, 2012 in a 3-1 loss to Slovakia.
Bernd Leno represented die Mannschaft at the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup and it is well known that the Germans won the tournament in Russia. Leno was born in Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany on March 5, 1992 and it has to be noted that his contract with Bayer Leverkusen should expire on June 30, 2020.
Highlighted Team (Aston Villa):
Aston Villa is one of the three clubs that dropped to the Championship at the end of the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign. The Villans host their rivals at Villa Park, the stadium that was opened in 1897 and its’ capacity is 42,682. However, it has to be noted that the highest attendance recorded at the stadium was 76,588 when Aston Villa faced Derby County in the FA Cup back in 1946.
Aston Villa’s fiercest rivals are Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion. Nonetheless, the rivalry between Aston Villa and Wolves and Coventry City is big as well. Aston Villa have won seven First Division (Premier League) trophies, with the team clinching seven FA Cup trophies as well.
The team’s biggest success, though, came in 1982 when they won the European Cup. The Villans defeated Bayern Munich (1-0) in the title game and Peter Withe was named the man of the match.
