Aston Villa
Monday’s football game between Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa will bring down the curtain on day 10 of the new Premier League campaign. The Reds did not enjoy playing on Monday last time out, with the team suffering a heavy loss at Leicester (0-4), but it is well known that they produce much better showings at home than on the travels. Both Niakhate and Richards remain in the recovery room, but there are no fresh injury worries in the home team.
The Villans, on the other hand, have been showing signs of improvement of late, with the team sharing the spoils with both Man City and Leeds United, while beating Southampton, and seeing that Forest experienced all sorts of problems at the back in the King Power Stadium defeat, away win should be considered. Steven Gerrard can’t count on the likes of Cash, Digne, Diego Carlos, and Kamara for Monday’s clash, while Ludwig Augustinsson is a major doubt.

After spending nine years at Sunderland youth academy, Jack Colback signed a loan deal with Ipswich Town on 6 August, 2009. The left-footed midfielder, who is capable of playing at left back as well, made 37 appearances for the Championship side, scoring four goals in the English second tier.
Against all odds, Colback decided to sign for Sunderland’s bitterest rivals Newcastle United on 9 June, 2014 and it has to be noted he became the first player to move directly from Sunderland to Newcastle since 1998 when Lionel Perez did the same. In 2015 Sunderland fans created a sick banner depicting Colback hanging with a noose around his neck and that caused uproar on social media.
Colback and his teammates from Newcastle dropped to the Championship at the end of the 2015/2016 season, but he decided not to leave the club. Colback scored 5 goals in 64 appearances for Newcastle United in the Premier League. He is well known for his passing skills, he rarely gives the ball away and journalist often compare him with Italy ace Andrea Pirlo.

Aston Villa is one of the three clubs that dropped to the Championship at the end of the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign. The Villans host their rivals at Villa Park, the stadium that was opened in 1897 and its’ capacity is 42,682. However, it has to be noted that the highest attendance recorded at the stadium was 76,588 when Aston Villa faced Derby County in the FA Cup back in 1946.
Aston Villa’s fiercest rivals are Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion. Nonetheless, the rivalry between Aston Villa and Wolves and Coventry City is big as well. Aston Villa have won seven First Division (Premier League) trophies, with the team clinching seven FA Cup trophies as well.
The team’s biggest success, though, came in 1982 when they won the European Cup. The Villans defeated Bayern Munich (1-0) in the title game and Peter Withe was named the man of the match.
