Our prediction for this Premier League match:
Out-of-sorts Nottingham Forest will be aiming to put an end to their nine-match winless run when they face Manchester United in the Premier League round 31. The Reds have been slipping down the standings week by week, and, as a result, they sit in the relegation zone ahead of Sunday’s encounter. Since Forest failed to impress in a 2-0 loss to Aston Villa, home win should not be considered. All Biancone, Boly, and Wood miss out with injuries, while both Yates and Aurier are major doubts.
The Red Devils, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over Brentford and Everton. Considering that Erik ten Hag’s men are eager to stay in the Champions League berth, we predict that they will take advantage of Nottingham’s poor form. Marcus Rashford is a major doubt after suffering an injury in a 2-0 win over Everton, while all Van de Beek, Garnacho, Heaton, and Shaw remain in the recovery room.
Highlighted Player (Jack Colback):
After spending nine years at Sunderland youth academy, Jack Colback signed a loan deal with Ipswich Town on 6 August, 2009. The left-footed midfielder, who is capable of playing at left back as well, made 37 appearances for the Championship side, scoring four goals in the English second tier.
Against all odds, Colback decided to sign for Sunderland’s bitterest rivals Newcastle United on 9 June, 2014 and it has to be noted he became the first player to move directly from Sunderland to Newcastle since 1998 when Lionel Perez did the same. In 2015 Sunderland fans created a sick banner depicting Colback hanging with a noose around his neck and that caused uproar on social media.
Colback and his teammates from Newcastle dropped to the Championship at the end of the 2015/2016 season, but he decided not to leave the club. Colback scored 5 goals in 64 appearances for Newcastle United in the Premier League. He is well known for his passing skills, he rarely gives the ball away and journalist often compare him with Italy ace Andrea Pirlo.
Highlighted Team (Manchester United):
Over the years Manchester United have established themselves as one of the greatest clubs in world football. The Red Devils have won three European Cup (Champions League) trophies and they have clinched no less than 20 Premier League titles.
A number of top-class players were part of Manchester United in the past, but, no doubt, the club’s biggest legend is coach Sir Alex Ferguson, who was in charge of the team for 26 years. During Alex Ferguson’s spell at Old Trafford the club won a number of trophies, but the Red Devils have been struggling in all competitions ever since he retired. Louis van Gaal helped Manchester United win the FA Cup trophy in the 2015/2016 season, with Jese Lingard scoring the winner in the 2-1 triumph over Crystal Palace at Wembley Stadium.
The likes of Bobby Charlton, Paul Scholes, Roy Keane, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, George Best and Eric Cantona are the football stars that graced Old Trafford for Manchester United.
