Southampton and Brentford go head to head at St. Mary’s Stadium in what is expected to be an interesting Premier League game. The Saints are seen as one of the main candidates for relegation, but the season is quite long. Southampton aim to recover from a 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace and, one thing is for sure, they are likely to go all guns blazing at the capital club. Mateus Fernandes remains on the sidelines through suspension, while there are no fresh injury worries in the home team.
The Bees, on the other hand, are tough to beat at home, but given their poor away record in the 2024/2025 Premier League campaign, home win should be considered. It has to be noted that Brentford have collected only two points in total on the road this term. Ben Mee should recover in time to face the Saints, while Mathias Jensen is rated doubtful for the visiting side.

The Saints were based at The Dell in the past and the capacity of Southampton’s new stadium is 32,505. Southampton wear red and white striped shirts and the colour of the team’s away kit is navy and green.
The Saints have yet to win the Premier League trophy, but they did well to clinch the FA Cup title back in 1976, while participating in the final of the prestigious competition in 1900, 1902 and 2003. Southampton outplayed Manchester United in the 1976 FA Cup final and that is probably the club’s greatest victory ever.
