Our prediction for this Premier League match:
After outplaying Chelsea in the London derby, Tottenham will look to stay in the Champions League berth when they face Wolverhampton at Molineux Stadium. Spurs proved their worth in the local derby, with the team moving one step closer to securing a top-four finish, but Newcastle United are still breathing down their neck. As always, a man to watch in the away team will be Harry Kane, who seal the triumph against Chelsea, while all Hugo Lloris, Ryan Sessegnon, Yves Bissouma, and Rodrigo Bentancur are sidelined with injuries.
The Wolves, on the other hand, played out a 1-1 draw with Fulham at the weekend. Julen Lopetegui’s men aim to escape the danger zone, but given Tottenham’s fine display in the London derby, away win should be considered. All Traore, Cunha, Chiquinho, Hwang Hee-Chan, and Kalajdzic should miss out with injuries for the home side.
Highlighted Player (Raul Jimenez):
Argentine forward Raul Jimenez began his career within the youth ranks of Club America, a club he went on to play 102 matches in all competitions and score 39 goals for before his 2014 move to Atletico Madrid. Despite signing a six-year deal with La Liga outfit in a reported transfer fee worth €11 million, Raul Jimenez never really managed to get his foot on the ground with the Colchineros.
After only 21 games and one goal for Atletico Madrid, the Mexico international moved to Portugal after his collapsed loan move to West Ham. Raul Jimenez missed the flight to London after reportedly oversleeping, but various reports suggest that he was advised by his agent Jorge Mendes to choose Benfica instead.
Portuguese giants initially acquired 50% of the player’s economic rights, while the remaining share of Jimenez’s contract was purchased in the summer of 2016 for a fee believed to be around €12 million. During his maiden season with the Eagles Mexico international played 28 Primeira Liga games, contributing with five goals during the process.
Highlighted Team (Tottenham):
Tottenham Hotspur are a professional football club based in North London. Spurs host their rivals at White Hart Lane and the capacity of the stadium is 36,284. Tottenham won the Premier League (First Division) trophy in 1950/1951 and 1960/1961 and despite producing terrific displays in the 2015/2016 campaign Mauro Pochettino’s team eventually finished the season in third place in the standings.
Tottenham’s bitter rivals are Arsenal, but Chelsea and West Ham United are regarded as the team’s fierce opponents as well. Spurs have won eight FA Cup trophies, with the team also lifting the 1962/1963 UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup title.
Tottenham Hotspur hammered Atletico Madrid in the final of the competition back then (5-1). The likes of David Ginola, Sol Campbell, Teddy Sheringham, Jurgen Klinsmann, Gary Lineker, Luka Modric, Robbie Keane and Gareth Bale are star players that used to play for the White Hart Lane outfit in the past. The colour of Tottenham Hotspur’s home kit is white.
