Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Alaves and Granada face each other at Estadio Mendizorrotza in what is expected to be an interesting relegation six-pointer. Alaves were beaten by Real Sociedad in the Basque derby, with the team remaining in bottom three. The Basques are eager to put an end to their four-match winless, and they are likely to leave their hearts on the field. There are no fresh injury worries in the home team ahead of the visit of Granada.
The Andalusians, on the other hand, have been totally out of form of late. Granada collected only one point in total from the previous five league fixtures, which is probably the main reason why home win should be considered. Both Maxime Gonalons and Santiago Arias miss out with injuries, but there are no other absentees in the away side ahead of the trip to Basque Country.
Highlighted Player (Fernando Pacheco):
Fernando Pacheco is a goalkeeper who plays for Deportivo Alaves in Primera Division. The 186-cm-tall shoot-stopper joined Real Madrid youth school at the age of 14 and it has to be noted that he made 41 appearances for Real Madrid B in Segunda Division.
However, he failed to make his debut for the first team. On 7 August. 2015 Pacheco signed a three-year contract with Deportivo Alaves and that proved to be the best decision of his career. He made his debut for the club on 22 August, 2015 in a 3-2 victory at Huesca.
The goalkeeper, who was born in Badajoz on 18 May, 1992, made 40 appearances for Alaves in the 2015/2016 Segunda Division campaign, conceding less than one goal per match. He missed one game with injury and he was rested in a 1-1 draw with Deportivo Tarragona on the last day of the season. Pacheco is a left-footed player and his contract with Deportivo Alaves expires on 30 June, 2018.
Highlighted Team (Granada):
Granada are an Andalusian football club that plays in Spanish La Liga. The club were founded on 14 April, 1931 and they have yet to win the Primera Division trophy. El Grana, though, booked their place in the Spanish Cup final in 1959, but Barcelona proved to be a big catch for the Andalusian outfit.
Granada host their rivals at Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes, the stadium that was built in 1995. The capacity of the stadium is 23,934. Granada’s main rivals are fellow Andalusian team Sevilla, but Real Betis are regarded as the club’s bitter rivals as well.
The likes of Yacine Brahimi, Juan Aguero, Gustavo Benitez, Pahinho, Denis Milar, Julio Montero Castillo, Capi, Cesar and Jose Mingorance are famous players that were part of the Estadio El Sadar outfit in the past. The original colour of Granada’s kits were blue and white, but after the Spanish Civil War the club chiefs bought new ones (red and white).
