Celta Vigo
After crushing Real Betis 5-0 at the weekend, Barcelona will look to overtake their bitter rivals Real Madrid in top position when they take on Celta Vigo on Matchday 6. Barca are eyeing their fifth consecutive La Liga win and they are seen as hot favourites to pick up all three points from Saturday’s encounter. As always, all eyes will be on Robert Lewandowski, who has already three goals in the new Primera Division campaign. Pedri and Ronald Araujo should be the only absentees in the home team.
Os Celeste, on the other hand, failed to impress in a 1-0 loss to Mallorca, which is yet another reason why we are going to bet on the title hopefuls. There are no fresh injury worries in the Galician outfit, but Franco Cervi has yet to overcome a muscle injury. Keep in mind, though, that the match will be played at Estadio Olimpico in Barcelona.
Highlighted Player (Robert Lewandowski):
After scoring 36 goals in 59 league games for Znicz Pruskow, Robert Lewandowski joined Lech Poznan in June, 2008. The 184-cm-tall attacker scored 18 goals in 28 appearances for the club in the 2009/2010 Ekstraklasa campaign and during the season he was on Borussia Dortmund’s radar.
The Polish forward signed a four-year deal with the Bundesliga side in June, 2010 and he quickly established himself as the team’s key attacker. Lewandowski was producing excellent performances with the Millionaires between 2010 and 2014 and it has to be noted that he won two Bundesliga trophies with the club (2010/2011, 2011/2012). He participated in the 2012/2013 Champions League final with Borussia Dortmund, but the Millionaires were beaten by fellow Bundesliga side Bayern Munich in the title game.
However, he betrayed Borussia Dortmund fans in 2014 as he signed a four-year deal with the Bundesliga giants. Lewandowski impressed in the 2016/2017 Bundesliga campaign as he scored 30 goals in 32 league games for Pep Guardiola’s troops. The Polish footballer represented his homeland at Euro 2016 in France and he scored one goal at the showpiece tournament in France.

Celta de Vigo is a Spanish football club from Vigo in the Galicia region. The club was founded in 1923 after a fusion between Real Club Fortuna de Vigo and Real Vigo Sporting. From 1997 until 2003 Celta de Vigo managed to become a strong team in the Primera Division. Highlight was season 2003/2004 where the club managed to reach the knock out stage of the Champions League but in the same season the team got downgraded to the Segunda Division.
Celta de Vigo hosts it’s home games in the Estadio Balaidos stadium which holds a capacity of 31 8000 seats. The club colors of Celta de Vigo are baby blue and white. The club is known by the nickname Celtinas and their biggest rival is Deportivo la Coruna which is from the same region as Celta de Vigo.
The biggest achievement of Celta de Vigo is winning the Intertoto cup in 2000 and reaching the final of the Copa del Rey in 1948, 1994 and 2001. Known players that wore the Celta de Vigo jersey are Jordi Cruyff, Diego Costa, Sasa Illic, Makelele, Nene and Sylvinho.
