There will be fireworks when Barcelona and Real Madrid lock horns in the first “El Clasico” of the season. Barca managed to break the deadlock in the round 10 clash against Athletic Bilbao, with debutant Marc Guiu scoring the winner, but the 17-year-old should once against start from the bench. Robert Lewandowski is a major doubt as well as Frenkie de Jong, while Jules Kounde remains on the sidelines with injury.
Los Blancos, on the other hand, head into the La Liga derby following a 1-1 draw with Sevilla at “Pizjuan”. Real Madrid are eyeing their fifth away win of the season, but beating Barcelona at “Monjuic” is easier said than done. Taking everything into account, we predict that the two bitter rivals are going to share the spoils in “El Clasico”. Luka Modric should be recalled to the starting XI, while Nacho Fernandez is banned for the match. Towering defender Eder Militao has yet to recover from an ACL injury.

Toni Kroos is a Real Madrid midfielder who started playing for Bayern Munich II at senior level. He made 13 appearances for the reserve team and on 31 January, 2009 he joined Bayer Leverkusen on loan. He made his Bayer debut on 28 February, 2009, coming as a substitute in a 1-0 loss to Hannover.
The German midfielder scored ten goals in 43 league appearances with the BayArena outfit and in the summer of 2010 he returned to Bayern Munich. Kroos won three Bundesliga trophies with the mighty Bavarian giants (2007/2008, 2012/2013, 2013/2014) and in 2013 he was part of Bayern Munich’s team that won the Champions League trophy.
In 2014, though, he decided to leave the club and the German superstar joined Real Madrid on a six-year-contract. Kroos won the 2015/2016 Champions League trophy with los Blancos and it has to be noted that he produced a thrilling performance in the title game against Atletico Madrid. In 2014 he clinched the FIFA World Cup trophy with Germany.

The Catalan giants won their 24th La Liga title in 2016, with Luis Suarez winning “El Pichichi” award. Barcelona’s local rivals are Espanyol, but the rivalry between Barca and Real Madrid is much bigger. The two La Liga giants face each other in “El Clasico”, which is considered one of the most exciting derbies in the world football. Barca are famous for their football youth school La Masia as well.
