Monday’s football game between Cadiz and Elche will bring down the curtain on day 17 of the 2022/2023 La Liga campaign. Cadiz did well to shock Valencia at Mestalla at the weekend, but that did not help the team escape the relegation zone. The Yellow Submarine aim to give fans yet another reason for celebration, and they are likely to adopt an attack-minded approach in the relegation six-pointer.
With no fresh injury worries to report, boss Sergio is unlikely to make changes to the team that defeated los Che. Los Franjiverdes, on the other hand, failed to impress in a 1-0 loss to Celta Vigo, and seeing that important defender Pedro Bigas misses out through suspension, we are tempted to put our money on the home side. All Alex Collado, John Donald Chetauya, and Jony Alamo are sidelined with injuries for the visiting team.

Lucas Perez is a Spanish footballer who plays for Deportivo La Coruna as a striker. Lucas Perez was born in La Coruna on 10 September, 1988 and he started his youth career at Alaves. Between 2007 and 2009 he played for Atletico Madrid C and in 2009 he signed for Rayo Vallecano.
Lucas Perez scored 25 goals in 44 appearances for los Vallecanos, but he played no more than seven matches for the first team. In 2011 he joined Ukrainian side Karpaty Lviv, but two years later he moved to PAOK, where he played 32 league games for the Greek outfit (scoring nine goals).
Lucas made it to the Greek Football Cup final with PAOk in the 2013/2014 season, but Panathinaikos emerged triumphant in the title game. On 12 August, 2015, Lucas signed a four-year deal with his home-town club Deportivo La Coruna and he impressed in the 2015/2016 La Liga campaign, scoring 17 goals for the Galician outfit.

Elche wear white shirts with green stripe and white shorts when playing at home, while black is the dominant colour of their away jersey. The club’s biggest success came in 1969 as Elche made it to the Copa del rey final. Los Franjiverdes faced Club Atletico de Bilbao in the Spanish Cup final, with the Basques winning the match by one goal to nil.
