Espanyol
After holding Villarreal to a goalless draw on Matchday 7, Cadiz will look to record their first home win of the season when they face Espanyol at Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla. The Yellow Submarine have been showing signs of improvement of late, but this game will be anything but a walk in the park for the home team. Important defender Iza Carcelen misses out through suspension following his sending off in the clash between the two Yellow Submarines, while Jon Ander Garrido should recover in time to face los Periquitos.
The Catalan outfit, on the other hand, aim to put an end to their three-game winless run in the Spanish top flight. Cadiz, though, are generally tough to beat at home, which is probably the main reason why we are going to put our money on draw. Martin Braithwaite is banned for the match, while both Ruben Sanchez and Adria Pedrosa are sidelined with injuries.

Lucas Perez is a Spanish footballer who plays for Deportivo La Coruna as a striker. Lucas Perez was born in La Coruna on 10 September, 1988 and he started his youth career at Alaves. Between 2007 and 2009 he played for Atletico Madrid C and in 2009 he signed for Rayo Vallecano.
Lucas Perez scored 25 goals in 44 appearances for los Vallecanos, but he played no more than seven matches for the first team. In 2011 he joined Ukrainian side Karpaty Lviv, but two years later he moved to PAOK, where he played 32 league games for the Greek outfit (scoring nine goals).
Lucas made it to the Greek Football Cup final with PAOk in the 2013/2014 season, but Panathinaikos emerged triumphant in the title game. On 12 August, 2015, Lucas signed a four-year deal with his home-town club Deportivo La Coruna and he impressed in the 2015/2016 La Liga campaign, scoring 17 goals for the Galician outfit.

Espanyol are a Catalan club that plays in Spanish La Liga. Espanyol were founded in 1900 and their original name was Sociedad Espanola de Football. In 1901 the Catalan club changed its name to Club Espanol de Futbol. Los Periquitos used to play in bright yellow shirts in the past, but current colour of the team’s home kit is blue and white.
Espanyol’s fiercest rivals are Barcelona and the two teams face each other in the Catalan derby (Derbi barceloni). Espanyol have always been in Barca’s shadow, but it has to be noted that los Periquitos have won four Copa del Rey (Spanish Cup trophies).
The likes of Raul Tamudo, Jose Maria, Antonio Argiles and Mauricio Pochettino are players with most appearances for the Catalan outfit. Espanyol play their home games at Estadio Cornella-El Prat and the capacity of the stadium is 40,500. Los Periquitos have never participated in the Champions League.
