Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Celta Vigo play host to Deportivo Alaves at their Estadio de Balaidos in the opening match of the new La Liga campaign. Os Celeste were having their ups and downs in preseason, with the team beating Luton and Gil Vicente, losing to Lille, while sharing the spoils with West Ham United. Defender Unai Nunez has signed a permanent deal with the club, with midfielder Ilaix Moriba joining the Galicians on loan. Norway centre-forward Jorgen Strand Larsen has signed a loan deal with Premier League side Wolverhampton.
The Basques, on the other hand, defeated Osasuna 2-1 in their last warm-up game, but seeing that Celta Vigo are tough to beat at home, we are tempted to put our money on draw this time out. A man to watch in the away team will be Stoichkov, who joined the club from Segunda Division side Eibar. Yet another summer recruit Asier Villalibre should make his Alaves debut against Celta as well.
