Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Sunday’s football game at Estadio de Balaidos pits together Celta Vigo and Girona, the two teams that are still eyeing their first win of the season. Os Celeste head into the match following three consecutive draws and it seems as if their performances are much better than the results. Towering striker Borja Iglesias is pushing for a start after scoring a late equalizer against Villarreal, while defender Carl Starfelt remains in the treatment room.
The Catalans, on the other hand, made a slow start to the season, with the team losing each of their first three games of the process. Given their shaky defence and Celta’s home advantage, we believe that there is a big value in betting on Claudio Giraldez’s troops. New Girona signing Vladyslav Vanat is widely expected to make his La Liga debut against Celta Vigo, while all Donny van de Beek, Bryan Gil, and Abel Ruiz remain on the sidelines with injuries.
Highlighted Player (Jonathan Bamba):

After spending his youth career at CS Paris-Charenton, UJA AlfortVille and Saint-Etienne, Jonathan Bamba started playing for Saint-Etienne II at senior level. In 2015 he was given a chance to prove his worth with the first team and it has to be noted that he scored eight goals in 42 appearances for les Verts in Ligue 1.
Following his loan spells with Paris, Sint-Truiden and Angers, Jonathan Bamba joined Lille in the summer of 2018. The pacey winger born in Alfortville (France) on March 26, 1996, has been playing for les Dogues ever since, but he has yet to earn a cap for the French national team. Nonetheless, Jonathan Bamba has 12 caps with France U21 in which he scored four goals for les Tricolores.
Jonathan Bamba’s main position is left winger, but he is used as a centre-forward as well. The French footballer, whose preferred foot is right, has a contract with Lille until June 30, 2023.
Highlighted Team (Girona):

After several unsuccessful attempts, finally secured promotion to Primera Division at the end of the 2016/2017 season. The Catalan outfit finished the campaign in second place in the standings, 14 points behind Levante and only two clear of third-placed Getafe. Girona play their home games at Montilivi and the capacity of the venue is 9.286.
Speaking of the club history, Girona were founded in the café Norat in La Rambla of Girona on July 23, 1930 and they played their first official game against Colonia Artigas. A number of Spanish coaches were in charge of the team in the past, but it has to be noted that Uruguayan tactician Dagoberto Moll (1965/1966) and Karoly Plattko (1948/1949) of Hungary were in charge of the club as well.
The Catalan team wear white shirts with red stripes when playing at home, while the colour of their shorts is blue. The team’s away kits are blue and black and Sporting Gijon are considered one of Girona’s fiercest rivals.
