Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Celta Vigo will look to build on a 2-0 win over Levante when they take on Granada at their Estadio de Balaidos on Matchday 7. Os Celeste did well to put an end to their three-game losing run, with the team regaining a much-needed confidence. Experienced attacker Iago Aspas, who opened the scoring in the midweek triumph, will be the man to watch in the home team. There are no absentees in the home team ahead of Monday’s clash.
Los Granadinos, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-2 loss to hit-by-injuries Real Sociedad. The Andalusians have been anything but impressive at the start of the season, and given Celta’s display in the triumph over Levante, we predict that Robert Moreno’s men will return home empty-handed. The bad news for the visitors is that Darwin Machis suffered an injury in the defeat to La Real.
Highlighted Player (Hugo Mallo):
Hugo Mallo is a Spanish footballer who plays for Celta Vigo as a full back. Mallo, who is a capable of playing at centre back if needed, was born in Marin on 22 June, 1991 and he has been playing for Os Celeste since 2009.
During his youth career Hugo Mallo played for the likes of Porvir and Pontevedra, but he made the biggest progress at Celta Vigo. The Celta defender has three caps for Spain U21 team and he played for the U19 and the U20 teams as well in the past. On 9 January, 2013, Mallo suffered a serious knee injury and, as a result, he was forced to miss the rest of the season.
The right-footed player has a contract with Celta Vigo which expires on 30 June, 2019. You should bear in mind that he scored one goal in 34 appearances for the Galician outfit in the 2015/2016 Primera Division campaign. In the 2014/2015 campaign he scored four goals for Celta in the national championship.
Highlighted Team (Granada):
Granada are an Andalusian football club that plays in Spanish La Liga. The club were founded on 14 April, 1931 and they have yet to win the Primera Division trophy. El Grana, though, booked their place in the Spanish Cup final in 1959, but Barcelona proved to be a big catch for the Andalusian outfit.
Granada host their rivals at Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes, the stadium that was built in 1995. The capacity of the stadium is 23,934. Granada’s main rivals are fellow Andalusian team Sevilla, but Real Betis are regarded as the club’s bitter rivals as well.
The likes of Yacine Brahimi, Juan Aguero, Gustavo Benitez, Pahinho, Denis Milar, Julio Montero Castillo, Capi, Cesar and Jose Mingorance are famous players that were part of the Estadio El Sadar outfit in the past. The original colour of Granada’s kits were blue and white, but after the Spanish Civil War the club chiefs bought new ones (red and white).
