Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Elche will be aiming to impress on their return to Primera Division when they face Real Betis in the opening match of the season. Los Franjiverdes’ main goal is to secure the top flight survival, but, no doubt, they would be happy with one point from their opener. The good news for the hosts is that top scorer Mourad El Ghezouani did not leave the club in the summer transfer window. New recruit Alvaro Rodriguez is widely expected to make his official Elche debut against los Beticos.
The Andalusian outfit, on the other hand, will represent Spain in the Europa League this season. Real Betis were having their ups and downs in preseason, but with the likes of Isco, Ezzalzouli, Lo Celso, and summer signings Nelson Deossa and Junior Firpo in the team, the visitors are definitely capable of beating the newcomers at Estadio Manuel Martinez Valero. Centre-back Natan misses the opening match of the season through suspension.
