Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Getafe play host to Elche at their Coliseum Alfonso Perez in the La Liga round 28. Los Azulones are only five points clear of the relegation zone, meaning that Sunday’s clash is of big importance for the capital club. Ten-man Getafe did well to hold league leaders Atletico Madrid to a goalless draw in their last league match, and they are surely capable of beating Elche in the suburbs of Madrid.
Allan Nyom is banned for the match, while Erick Cabaco and Dario Poveda remain in the treatment room. Los Franjiverdes suffered an unlucky 2-1 loss to Real Madrid in their last league game, with Karim Benzema scoring a late winner for los Blancos. Anyhow, we are tempted to put our money on Getafe as Elche are not considered good travellers. Both Jony Alamo and Emiliano Rigoni are likely to miss the game through injuries.
Highlighted Player (Djené):

A central defender who can equally be deployed as a right-back, Djene Dakonam has emerged as one of the most influential Getafe players in the 2017/18 season. His road to prominence was a long one, however, and Djene had to bide his time in order to be recognized for quality he undoubtedly possesses. Dapaong-born Togolese international, Djene Dakonam made his first football steps as a youth member of Etoile Filante.
Spells in Benin and Cameroon with Tonnerre d’Abomey and Coton Sport, respectively, saw Djene Dakonam grab attention of Alcoron, who moved in to bring him to Spain in 2014. During two years in Spain Djene Dakonam made 59 league appearances before moving to Sint-Truidense. It was in Belgium that Djene Dakonam proved his defensive versatility and Getafe came calling the very next year, in 2017.
Djene proved to be an instant hit with the Azulones and is hoping a move to one of Europe’s biggest clubs will not be too far away for him. The likes of Arsenal and Tottenham have been sniffing around him during the summer transfer window in 2018 but were ultimately scared off by his £31 million release clause.
Highlighted Team (Elche):

Established in 1923, Elche is a Spanish club that competes in La Liga. Los Franjiverdes welcome their rivals at Estadio Manuel Martinez Valero, the stadium which can hold up to 33,732 spectators. The venue was opened on September 8, 1976.
Elche wear white shirts with green stripe and white shorts when playing at home, while black is the dominant colour of their away jersey. The club’s biggest success came in 1969 as Elche made it to the Copa del rey final. Los Franjiverdes faced Club Atletico de Bilbao in the Spanish Cup final, with the Basques winning the match by one goal to nil.
The likes of Mario Pasalic, Ivan Bolado, Garry Rodrigues, Goran Djorovic, Albert Nadj, Wakaso, Moha, Carlos Sanchez, Ioan Andone, Enzo Roco, Dominique Malonga, Richmond Boakye, and Sory Kaba are some of the notable players who were part of the team in the past. Elche have never represented Spain in European competitions.
