Getafe play host to Real Oviedo at their Coliseum in what is expected to be an interesting La Liga encounter. Los Azulones aim to bounce back from a 3-0 loss to Valencia and it seems as if they will not have a better chance than this to get back on course. Jose Bordalas should have a full squad to choose from against the newcomers, with the experienced tactician sticking to the 5-3-2 formation.
Veljko Paunovic’s men, on the other hand, did remarkably well to beat Real Sociedad at home before the international break. Oviedo, though, are not regarded as good travellers and with Getafe turning their Coliseum into a real fortress, home win should be considered. In their last meeting in the suburbs of Madrid, Getafe defeated Oviedo 2-1 and we predict that history is going to repeat. To make things even worse for the away team, Ilyas Chaira suffered a serious injury in the last league match, with Alvaro Lemos and Lucas Ahijado remaining in the treatment room.

A central defender who can equally be deployed as a right-back, Djene Dakonam has emerged as one of the most influential Getafe players in the 2017/18 season. His road to prominence was a long one, however, and Djene had to bide his time in order to be recognized for quality he undoubtedly possesses. Dapaong-born Togolese international, Djene Dakonam made his first football steps as a youth member of Etoile Filante.
Spells in Benin and Cameroon with Tonnerre d’Abomey and Coton Sport, respectively, saw Djene Dakonam grab attention of Alcoron, who moved in to bring him to Spain in 2014. During two years in Spain Djene Dakonam made 59 league appearances before moving to Sint-Truidense. It was in Belgium that Djene Dakonam proved his defensive versatility and Getafe came calling the very next year, in 2017.
Djene proved to be an instant hit with the Azulones and is hoping a move to one of Europe’s biggest clubs will not be too far away for him. The likes of Arsenal and Tottenham have been sniffing around him during the summer transfer window in 2018 but were ultimately scared off by his £31 million release clause.

Based in Oviedo, Asturias, Real Oviedo is a Spanish club that plays home games at Carlos Tartiere. Carlos Tartiere is one of the biggest stadiums in Segunda division as it can hold up to 30,500 spectators. Los Azules competed in La Liga in the 1990s, but in the 2001/02 campaign they suffered relegation to Segunda Division.
Real Oviedo have not competed in the Spanish top flight ever since. In the 1991/92 season los Azules represented Spain in the UEFA Cup, but Genoa proved to be a big catch for them in the round of 64. Real Oviedo have a rivalry with Sporting Gijon, with the two teams facing each other in the Asturian derby.
