Monday’s clash between Girona and Getafe will bring down the curtain on day 2 of the new Primera Liga campaign. The Catalans aim to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Valencia, and they are likely to go all guns blazing at los Azulones. Keep in mind, though, that all Bernardo, Garcia, Kebe, and Martin have been struggling with injuries at the start of the season.
Getafe, on the other hand, suffered a heavy 3-0 loss to Atletico Madrid in the local derby, meaning that they are low on spirits ahead of the trip to Catalonia. Since the newcomers are eager to impress on their home debut, we predict that the visitors will return to Madrid empty-handed. Defender Damian Suarez remains in the treatment room, while summer signing Portu is pushing for his full Getafe debut in the Spanish top flight.
