Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
All eyes will be on Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes when Granada and Sevilla face each other in the Andalusian derby. Los Granadinos are eyeing their first league win since August 26 and we are positive that they will leave their hearts on the field. Bayern Munich target Bryan Zaragoza will be the man to watch in the home team, while Jesus Vallejo remains in the recovery room.
Los Sevillanos, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-0 loss to Getafe and, as a result, the club chiefs have appointed Quique Sanchez Flores as the new boss. As the experienced tactician is expected to help the team regain a much-needed confidence, we are tempted to place our bets on Sevilla. The likes of Joan Jordan, Dodi Lukebakio, Fernando, Marcos Acuna, Jesus Navas, and Mariano Diaz remain on the sidelines with injuries, while Erik Lamela is a major doubt.
Highlighted Player (Marcos Acuña):
Marcos Acuna is an Argentina international who plays for Sporting Club de Portugal as a winger. Born in Zapala, Argentina on October 28, 1991, Acuna started his senior career at Ferro Carril Oeste. After scoring 5 goals in 117 appearances for the Argentine club from 2010 to 2014, he moved to Racing Club in the summer of 2014.
The 172-cm-tall footballer looked sharper in front of goal during his spell with la Academia, scoring 16 goals in 78 appearances for the club. In June 2017 Marcos Acuna decided to take a step forward in his career, joining Portuguese outfit Sporting CP. He made his debut with the Lions in a 2-0 win over Deportivo Aves on August 6, 2017.
Acuna plays for the Argentine national team as well, making his debut for la Albiceleste on November 15, 2016 in a World Cup qualifier against Colombia. His main position is left-back, but he is used as both left midfielder and left winger as well.
Highlighted Team (Granada):
Granada are an Andalusian football club that plays in Spanish La Liga. The club were founded on 14 April, 1931 and they have yet to win the Primera Division trophy. El Grana, though, booked their place in the Spanish Cup final in 1959, but Barcelona proved to be a big catch for the Andalusian outfit.
Granada host their rivals at Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes, the stadium that was built in 1995. The capacity of the stadium is 23,934. Granada’s main rivals are fellow Andalusian team Sevilla, but Real Betis are regarded as the club’s bitter rivals as well.
The likes of Yacine Brahimi, Juan Aguero, Gustavo Benitez, Pahinho, Denis Milar, Julio Montero Castillo, Capi, Cesar and Jose Mingorance are famous players that were part of the Estadio El Sadar outfit in the past. The original colour of Granada’s kits were blue and white, but after the Spanish Civil War the club chiefs bought new ones (red and white).
