Thursday’s football game between Mallorca and Osasuna will bring down the curtain on day 18 of the new La Liga campaign. Los Bermellones are undefeated in the previous four league matches and they will continue relying on their solid defence in the midweek clash. Oscar Mascarell limped off with injury in the last league match, with Giovanni Gonzalez likely to step up. Los Rojillos, on the other hand, desperately needed a win against Rayo Vallecano and they managed to get one.
Osasuna, though, have been struggling on the travels of late, with the team suffering three defeats, while sharing the spoils with Cadiz and that is the main reason why we are going to bet on Mallorca. Raul is pushing for a start after scoring a late winner against los Vallecanos, whilst both Johan Mojica and Enrique Barja should miss out with injuries for the visiting side.

Popularly known as "Chimy," Ezequiel Avila 's youth career was spent playing football in Argentina at Tiro Federal. An Argentinian himself, the Rosario native signed his first professional contract with Federal in 2010 and made his debut appearance in the same year, featuring in a 2-0 away loss to Almirante Brown on the 16th of October.
Chimy then spent an additional five years at the club, making just 13 appearances before joining San Lorenzo on a free transfer. His Lorenzo spell generated his first professional goal, which came on the 20th of April, 2016, in a Copa Libertadores game against LDO Quito. In 2017, he left Lorenzo to join Spanish outfit SD Huesca on a two-year loan deal. This move marked Chimy's first time playing club football outside Argentina.
At Huesca, the winger scored 17 goals in 70 appearances. At the end of the loan period in 2019, Chimy returned to Lorenzo, who, in turn, sold him to LaLiga side CA Osasuna on a transfer worth 5 million euros. Born on the 6th of February, 1994, the 25-year-old is currently on a four-year contract with Los Rojillos.

Thanks to a win over Deportivo La Coruna in the 2018/2019 Segunda Division play-offs final Mallorca secured promotion to Primera Division. Los Bermellones returned to the Spanish top flight following a six-year absence. Over the years Mallorca have turned their Estadi de son Moix into a real fortress, with the team producing much better showings at home than on the travels.
Opened in June 1999, the venue can hold up to 23,142 people. The club based in Balearic Islands are well known for their red shirts with one black stripe and black shorts. Mallorca’s away colours are white and red. Former Barcelona and Inter ace Samuel Eto’o is undisputedly the most notable footballer who played for the club.
Back in 1999 Mallorca made it to the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup final, with the team suffering a 2-1 loss to Lazio in the title game. Four years later los Bermellones won Spanish Copa del Rey, which is considered the club’s biggest success.
