Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Osasuna and Real Betis take on each other at Estadio El Sadar in what is expected to be one of the most exciting games of Thursday’s program. Los Rojillos quickly bounced back from a 4-1 loss to Valencia, with the team beating Alaves in the Basque derby at the weekend. Osasuna aim to give fans yet another reason for celebration, but, no doubt, they would be happy with one point from the midweek clash as well.
Midfielder Kike Barja remains on the sidelines through injury, but the 24-year-old should be the only absentee in the home team. Los Beticos, on the other hand, head into the match following a 2-2 draw with Espanyol. Since the Andalusian outfit have been scoring goals for fun in all competitions of late, we are tempted to put our money on both teams to score. German Pezzella is banned for the visitors, while fellow defender Victor Ruiz misses the match with injury.
Highlighted Player (Roberto Torres):
After scoring 23 goals in 132 appearances for Osasuna B, Roberto Torres made his first-team debut on 11 December 2011. He came as a substitute in a 1-1 draw with Malaga, but he played no more than two league games for los Rojillos in the 2011/2012 La Liga campaign. However, he was making progress year by year and he made 42 appearances for Osasuna in the 2015/2016 Segunda Division campaign.
Roberto Torres is one of the players who helped the team secure promotion to Primera Division and it has to be noted that the midfielder scored 12 goals in the 2015/2016 season.
Roberto Torres’ contract with Osasuna expires in 2018. The 178-cm-tall player was born in Pamplona, on 7 March, 1989. His main position is attacking midfielder, but he is capable of playing as a central midfielder as well.
