Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
After failing to shock Real Madrid (0-3) on Matchday 2, Real Oviedo will look to give fans some cheer when they face Real Sociedad on Saturday evening. The newcomers made a slow start to the season, but it has to be noted that they faced a tough fixture list. Real Oviedo are surely capable of matching La Real at home and we are positive that they will leave their hearts on the field. Forward Haissem Hassan is pushing for a recall to the starting XI, while midfielder Alberto Reina is back from suspension.
The Basques, on the other hand, head into the match following back-to-back draws with Valencia and Espanyol. As Real Sociedad have yet to find their best form in the early stages of the season, we are tempted to bet on draw. Iceland forward Orri Oskarsson is pushing for a start after scoring as a substitute in the last league match, whilst defender Jon Balda remains on the sidelines with injury for the visiting side.
Highlighted Player (Mikel Oyarzabal):

Intelligence is not an attribute you will find in Mikel Oyarzabal’s stats with Real Sociedad but this tricky winger is a highly knowledgeable winger who will use both brain and feet while playing. For a player born in Eibar, who made his first steps in his hometown club, it was always going to be a choice between Athletic Bilbao and Real Sociedad for Oyarzabal.
La Real saw their chance and grabbed this gem of a player at a young age, helping him develop into a proper professional throughout their youth ranks. Mikel Oyarzabal has spent the entirety of his senior career with the Basque behemoths where he’d use his ability to fill in a number of positions up top much to his own benefit.
Oyarzabal’s positioning and movement are work of a tactical genius, whereas it is his nous to find details to exploit that best define him as a player. Having come through the youth categories of the Spanish national team, Oyarzabal also has a senior cap next to his name. It was in 2016 that he also represented the Basque region, scoring on his debut to cap a 3-1 win over Tunisia.
Highlighted Team (Oviedo):

Based in Oviedo, Asturias, Real Oviedo is a Spanish club that plays home games at Carlos Tartiere. Carlos Tartiere is one of the biggest stadiums in Segunda division as it can hold up to 30,500 spectators. Los Azules competed in La Liga in the 1990s, but in the 2001/02 campaign they suffered relegation to Segunda Division.
Real Oviedo have not competed in the Spanish top flight ever since. In the 1991/92 season los Azules represented Spain in the UEFA Cup, but Genoa proved to be a big catch for them in the round of 64. Real Oviedo have a rivalry with Sporting Gijon, with the two teams facing each other in the Asturian derby.
The likes of Robert Prosinecki, Stan Collymore, Dely Valdes, Abel Xavier, Paulo Bento, Marius Lacatus, Viktor Onopko, Ratomir Dujkovic, Juan Mata, Michu, Ibrahima Balde, and Slavisa Jokanovic are the famoust footballers who were part of Oviedo in the past. Carlos Munoz Cobo is leading the club’s all-time goal-scoring chart.
