Valencia will be aiming to make a flying start to the season when they take on Getafe at their Estadio de Mestalla. Los Che suffered a 2-1 loss to Premier League side Brentford in their last warm-up game, but they are surely capable of matching Getafe at home ground. The good news for the hosts is that Jose Bordalas can count on both Uros Racic and Carlos Soler for the season opener. Denmark international Daniel Wass is pushing for a start after he was given a rest in pre-season.
Los Azulones, on the other hand, aim to make amends for the unsuccessful 2020/21 La Liga campaign. The capital club are likely to rely on their rock-solid defence in Friday’s clash, but preventing Mestalla from scoring at Mestalla is easier said than done. It has to be noted that Getafe midfielder Arambarri is on the verge of joining Valencia.
