Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Valencia and Girona take on each other at Estadio de Mestalla in an eagerly-awaited La Liga game. Los Che are no longer considered one of the teams to beat in Primera Division and they have yet to record a win in the new domestic campaign. However, Saturday’s football game could be the turning point for Ruben Baraja’s troops. Rafael Mir is serving the Spanish FA ban, while all Hugo Duro, Jose Gaya, Jaume Domenech, and Mouctar Diakhaby are sidelined with injuries.
The Catalan outfit, on the other hand, aim to recover from a massive 4-1 loss to Barcelona. As the visitors will go for a win as well, we believe that there is a big value in betting on both teams to score. In their last meeting at Estadio de Mestalla Girona defeated Valencia 3-1 and yet another high-scoring contest is on the cards. Both Jastin Garcia and Ricard Artero are sidelined with injuries, but Girona midfielder Yangel Herrera has overcome his injury.
Highlighted Player (Christian Stuani):
Cristhian Stuani is considered one of the best Uruguay attackers. Stuani was born on 12 October, 1986 and he began his senior career at Danubio. He impressed with the Uruguayan outfit, scoring 23 goals in 36 appearances for the club and, as a result, he became a target for a number of top European clubs.
In 2008 he signed a contract with Reggina, but he failed to impress in 17 appearances for the Italian team. After spending the 2012/2013 season on loan at Espanyol, Christian Stuani signed a permanent deal with the Catalan side in 2013. Stuani scored 12 goals in 37 league appearances for Espanyol in the 2014/2015 Primera Division campaign, but at the end of the season he moved to Middlesbrough for a reported €3 million fee.
The 186-cm-tall striker made his Uruguay debut on 14 November, 2012 in a friendly win over Poland. Stuani also represented la Celeste at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Highlighted Team (Valencia):
Founded on March 18, 1919, Valencia FC are a Spanish football club that compete in La Liga. Los Che play their home games at Estadio de Mestalla, the stadium which was opened back in May, 1923. The capacity of the venue is 50,000. Seeing that bats are quite common in Valencia, it is no surprise they are nicknamed the Bats.
Valencia made it to the Champions League final on two occasions (2000, 2001), but they were beaten in the title games by Real Madrid and Bayern Munchen respectively. The Spanish club, though, did well to win the UEFA Cup title in the 2003/2004 season, with the team beating Marseille in the final of the competition.
A number of top-class footballers were part of the club in the past, with the likes of Pablo Aimar, Ruben Baraja, David Albelda, Santiago Canizares, John Carew and Gaizka Mendieta all playing for the Estadio de Mestalla outfit. Valencia main colors are white and black, whilst they often where orange jerseys and shorts when playing on the travels.
