Our prediction for this Scottish Premiership match:
After dropping two points in a 2-2 draw with Dundee United, St Johnstone will be looking to start a new winning run in the Premiership when they welcome St. Mirren at their McDiarmid Park. Callum Davidson’s troops are eager to put an end to their ten-game winless run in the national championship, and we are positive that they will go all guns blazing at St. Mirren.
The visitors, on the other hand, shared the spoils with both Kilmarnock and Motherwell in the first two games of the year. St. Mirren have been playing some low-scoring games of late, and it has to be noted that under 2.5 goals have been netted in each of their previous five league fixtures. Anyhow, the hosts want this win more than the visitors, and we predict that Callum Davidson’s men are going to prove their worth on the field.
Highlighted Player (Jason Kerr):
Jason Kerr is a professional footballer who plays for St Johnstone as a defender. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, on February 6, 1997, Jason Kerr is a product of the St Johnstone football academy. He started his senior career in 2014, and after ending his loan spells with East Fife and Queen of the South, he returned to the McDiarmid Park outfit in 2018.
He made his debut with the Saints in the Scottish Cup game against Albion Rovers on January 29, 2019. Jason Kerr has six caps with the Scotland U21 team, but he has yet to receive a call-up for the senior team.
He scored his first goal for St Johnstone in a 4-1 defeat to Rangers on February 27, 2018. His primary position on the field is a centre-back, but he is capable of producing good displays as a central midfielder as well. His preferred foot is right, and he wears the number 15 shirt at St Johnstone.
Highlighted Team (St Mirren):
St Mirren are Scottish football club that compete in the Scotland Premier League. Founded in 1877, the Buddies play home games at St Mirren Park. The venue, which was built in 2009, can hold up to 8,000 spectators.
St Mirren are well known for their white and black home kit, while black and violet are the dominant colours of their away kit. The Scottish club played their first match against Johnstone Britannia on October 6, 1877, winning the game by one goal to nil. St Mirren have a bitter rivalry with Greenock Morton, and there have always been fireworks in clashes between the two clubs.
