Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
Estadio Municipal de Castalia will host Monday’s football game between Castellon and Rayo Vallecano, the two teams with entirely different ambitions in the season finale. Castellon are desperate to secure the Segunda Division survival, while los Vallecanos are eyeing a place in the playoffs. The hosts do not seem to be at the top of their game ahead of Matchday 41, and given their three-game losing run, we do not believe that there is a big value in betting on Juan Carlos Garrido’s charges.
The capital club, on the other hand, managed to keep their promotion hopes alive thanks to a 4-1 win over Real Oviedo. Considering that Rayo have been impressive in front of goal of late, we predict that they will take advantage of Castellon’s anything but good form. In their last away game in La Liga 2 los Vallecanos defeated Fuenlabrada.
