Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
Leganes and Sabadell face each other at Estadio Municipal de Butarque in what is expected to be a close Segunda Division encounter. Leganes are eyeing a place in the playoffs, while Sabadell are desperate to secure the La Liga 2 survival. Since the capital club failed to win the previous three league fixtures, we are positive that they will go all guns blazing at Antonio Hidalgo’s troops.
Leganes failed to turn their dominance into goals in a 1-0 loss to Mallorca, which is yet another reason why home win should be considered. Sabadell, on the other hand, have been showing signs of improvement of late, with the team beating Lugo, while sharing the spoils with Sporting Gijon and Girona. Antonio Hidalgo’s men are not regarded as good travellers, and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Leganes’ party in the suburbs of Madrid.
Highlighted Player (Rubén Pérez):
Rubén Pérez is a Spanish footballer who was born in Ecija on April 26, 1989. The 178-cm tall midfielder is a product of Atletico Madrid youth academy, but he made no more than one appearance in La Liga for los Rojiblancos. Ruben Perez, though, played 53 games for Atletico Madrid B before joining Deportivo La Coruna on loan.
The Spanish footballer spent some time on loan at Getafe, Real Betis, Elche and Torino as well before joining Granada in 2015. After making 31 appearances for the Andalusian side from 2015 to 2018, Ruben Perez joined Leganes on loan in 2016.
In 2018 he signed a permanent deal with Leganes and he has been playing for the capital club ever since. His main position is defensive midfielder, but he is capable of playing as a central midfielder as well. Ruben Perez has 5 caps for Spain U21 team, but he has yet to receive a call-up for the senior squad.
Highlighted Team (Sabadell):
Sabadell is a professional Spanish club based in the autonomous community of Catalonia. Sabadell were founded back in 1903, with the team securing promotion to la liga for the first time during the World War II (1943/44).
Los Arlequinats have never won the national championship, but they did well to make it to the Copa del Rey (Spanish Cup) final in 1935. Despite producing fine displays in the process, Sabadell were eventually beaten by Sevilla (0-3) in the title game. Nova Creu Alta is the club’s home ground, with the venue holding up to 11,908 spectators.
The stadium was built on August 20, 1967 by famous Spanish architect Gabriel Bracons Singla. Antonio Vazques (35 goals) is leading Sabadell’s all-time goal-scoring chart. It has to be noted that Sabadell fans have good relations with Bristol Rovers supporters. CD Ebro are seen as one of the club’s main rivals, with the two teams facing each other in el Derbi Arlequinado.
