Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
Estadio Anxo Carro will host Saturday’s La Liga 2 game between Lugo and Granada, the two teams with entirely different ambitions in the 2022/2023 season. Lugo’s main goal is to secure the Segunda Division survival, while Granada are still seen as one of the main favourites for promotion. Both Juanpe and Joselu are sidelined with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the home team.
Los Granadinos, on the other hand, aim to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Burgos where Albania international Myrto Uzuni scored the only goal of the match. The 27-year-old should keep his place in the starting XI, whilst Antonio Puertas remains on the sidelines with a broken rib. Anyhow, away win should be considered as Lugo have been struggling in front of goal of late. In their last meeting at the venue Granada defeated Lugo 2-1, and we predict that the history is going to repeat itself.
Highlighted Player (Hacen El Ide):
Moctar Sidi el Hacen is a Mauritania international, who started his youth career at ASAC Concorde. In 2014 he moved to Spanish side Levante, but it has to be noted that he made no more than two appearances for los Levantinos in La Liga.
El Hacen joined fellow Spanish team Real Valladolid in 2018, but at the start of his spell with la Pucela he played for the reserve team. The Mauritanian footballer made his La Liga debut for the senior team in the 2018/2019 season in a 1-0 win over Girona. Moctar Sidi el Hacen started pretty early with his international career, making seven appearances for the Mauritania national team before the age of 16.
El Hacen made his Mauritania debut in a goalless draw with Gambia on March 2, 2013. The Real Valladolid player was born in Nouakchott (Mauritania) on December 31, 1997 and his main position is central midfield.
Highlighted Team (Granada):
Granada are an Andalusian football club that plays in Spanish La Liga. The club were founded on 14 April, 1931 and they have yet to win the Primera Division trophy. El Grana, though, booked their place in the Spanish Cup final in 1959, but Barcelona proved to be a big catch for the Andalusian outfit.
Granada host their rivals at Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes, the stadium that was built in 1995. The capacity of the stadium is 23,934. Granada’s main rivals are fellow Andalusian team Sevilla, but Real Betis are regarded as the club’s bitter rivals as well.
The likes of Yacine Brahimi, Juan Aguero, Gustavo Benitez, Pahinho, Denis Milar, Julio Montero Castillo, Capi, Cesar and Jose Mingorance are famous players that were part of the Estadio El Sadar outfit in the past. The original colour of Granada’s kits were blue and white, but after the Spanish Civil War the club chiefs bought new ones (red and white).
