Estadio Anxo Carro will host Wednesday’s La Liga encounter between Lugo and Las Palmas. The hosts have been playing some low-scoring games of late, with under 2.5 goals being netted in each of their last four league fixtures. Lugo did well to beat Girona in their last home game, which is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of the midweek clash.
La Union Deportiva continue with their habit of producing much better showings at home than on the travels. Las Palmas are on a three-game winning run at home, but given their anything but good away record, we believe that there is a big value in betting on under 2.5 goals. In their last meeting at the venue the two sides played out a 1-1 draw, and we predict that the history is going to repeat itself.

Manu Barreiro is a professional player who was born on 8 July, 1986 in Compostela, Spain. Barreiro is a product of Real Madrid youth school, but he played for Valencia during his youth career as well. He made three appearances for Valencia B, but in 2005 he joined Lalin.
He played for the likes of Algeciras, Cadiz, Jerez, Zamora, Cerceda, Pontevera and Ferrol in lower leagues as well and on 27 June 2014 he signed a contract with Segunda Division side Alaves. He scored 11 goals for the club in the 2014/2015 campaign and he netted five goals in 32 appearances for El Glorioso in the 2015/2016 Segunda Division campaign, helping the team secure promotion to La Liga.
Manu Barreiro won Segunda Division B with Cadiz in the 2008/2009 season. Manu Barreiro is a centre forward, but he is capable of playing as a left winger as well. His contract with Alaves expires on 30 June, 2017.

Las Palmas are a Spanish football club based in the Canary Islands. The club was founded on 22 August, 1949. Los Amarillos play in Spanish La Liga and the team’s home ground is Estadio Gran Canaria. The stadium was opened in 2003 and it’s current capacity is 32,150. Miguel Angel Ramirez is the club’s chairman and the club’s main rivals are Tenerife.
Las Palmas impressed in the 2015/2016 La liga campaign, with the team finishing the season in 11th place in the standings. However, it has to be noted that los Amarillos finished the 1968/1969 Primera Division campaign in second place in the table, 11 points behind Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Speaking of Copa del Rey, Las Palmas made it to the final of the Spanish Cup in 1978. Las Palmas eliminated Sporting Gijon in the semis (5-3), but Barcelona outplayed los Amarillos in the title game (3-1).
