Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
Zaragoza and Las Palmas face each other at Estadio La Romareda in what is expected to be one of the most interesting games of Sunday’s program. Los Blanquillos are eyeing their third consecutive league win, but they face a difficult task against the promotion-chasing visitors. There are no fresh injury worries in the home team, while both Marcos Luna and Victor Mollejo are out of contention through injuries.
La Union Deportiva, on the other hand, aim to put an end to their three-game winless run in Segunda Division. Las Palmas have a chance to climb to the automatic promotion berth, but beating the in-form hosts at “La Romareda” is easier said than done. Taking everything into account, we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw. Eric Curbelo limped off with injury in a goalless draw with Levante, with Alex Suarez likely to step up, whereas defender Sergi Cardona misses out through suspension.
Highlighted Player (Vitolo):
Over the years Victor Machin Perez - Vitolo has established himself as one of Sevilla’s key players. The pacey winger, who is capable of playing as a forward as well, won his third consecutive Europa League trophy with los Sevillanos in 2016.
Vitolo was born in Las Palmas on 2 November, 1989 and he played for his home-town club Las Palmas from 2010 to 2013. The Spanish footballer joined Sevilla on 28 June, 2013 and, no doubt, he made the right decision when he moved to Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. Vitolo played one game for Spain in the Euro 2016 qualifiers, but he failed to make the final cut.
However, he established himself as a first-team regular under Julen Lopetegui. Vitolo scored his first goal for La Furia Roja in an 8-0 win over Liechtenstein and he provided an assist for David Silva as well. He has a contract with Sevilla which expires on 30 June, 2020.
Highlighted Team (Zaragoza):
Based in the autonomous community of Aragon, Zaragoza is a Spanish football club that plays in Segunda Division. The club was founded on March 18, 1932 and it plays their home matches at the legendary La Romareda stadium.
The venue opened on September 8, 1957 has the capacity of 33,608 people. Los Blanquillos wear white shirts and blue shorts when playing on home soil, while yellow is the dominant colour of their away kit. Zaragoza did well to win the la liga trophy in the 1977/78 season, with the team finishing the campaign four points clear of second-place Recreativo de Huelva.
Speaking of the club’s European success, Zaragoza clinched the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup in the 1994/95 season as they defeated 2-1 in the title game. Fabio Coentrao, Pablo Aimar, Roberto Ayala, Diego Milito, Gabriel Milito, Cafu, and David Villa are the most notable footballers who played for the club in the past. Huesca are considered the club’s main rivals.
