Our prediction for this Serie B match:
Ascoli and Genoa go head to head at Stadio Cino e Lillo Del Duca in the Serie B round 17. Cristian Bucchi’s men sit in 11th place in the standings, but a win over Genoa could see them climb to the playoffs berth. All Anthony Fontana, Lorenco Simic, Marcel Buchel, Federico Dionisi, and Noam Baumann are out of contention with injuries, while both Eddy Gnahore and Nicola Leali are major doubts.
The Rossoblu, on the other hand, desperately needed a win against Sudtirol, and they managed to get one, with the team remaining in top four. Genoa, though, have been struggling on the travels of late, which is probably the main reason why we are going to put our money on draw. Both Marko Pajac and Petar Brlek should miss out through injuries for the visiting side.
Highlighted Player (Kevin Strootman):
After starting his senior career at Sparta Rotterdam, Kevin Strootman joined fellow Dutch side Utrecht in 2011. On March 9, 2014, the Dutch footballer sustained a serious knee injury that made him miss the remainder of the 2013/2014 Serie A season.
