Our prediction for this Serie B match:
Stadio Mario Rigamonti will host Saturday’s Serie B game between Brescia and Modena, the two teams who sit in the opposite halves of the table. Following four consecutive league defeats, Brescia dropped to the relegation zone, but a win over Modena will see them escape the bottom five. Both Cistana and Bertagnoli are out of contention with injuries, while Karacic misses out through suspension.
The Canarini, on the other hand, have been having their ups and downs of late, with the team producing much better showings at home than on the travels. Modena aim to move closer to the playoffs berth, and seeing that they will go for a win as well, we are tempted to put our money on both teams to score. Barring any fresh injury worries, Attilio Tesser is unlikely to make changes to the team that defeated Cagliari at the weekend.
Highlighted Team (Brescia):
Hosting their rivals at Stadio Mario Rigamonti, the stadium with the capacity of 16,743, Brescia are Italian team founded back in 1911 under the name of Brescia Football Club. Le Rondinelle are well known for their blue and white shirts, but white is dominant colour in their away kit.
Atalanta are considered one of the club’s fiercest rivals, with the two teams facing each other in the Derby of Lombardy. The Stadio Mario Rigamonti outfit have rivalries with the likes of Inter, Hellas Verona and Cremonese as well. Roberto Baggio, who has 56 caps with the Italy national football team, is considered the most famous footballer who played for Brescia.
Robi scored 45 goals in 95 appearances in the Serie A for le Rondinelle. It has to be noted that the likes of Andrea Pirlo, Gheorge Hagi, Pep Guardiola, Luca Toni, Luigi Di Biagio and Dario Hubner were part of Brescia in the past as well. However, Mario Rigamonti is the club’s biggest legend as he died in the Superga air disaster back in 1949.
