Our prediction for this Serie B match:
Cagliari and Frosinone take on each other at Unipol Domus in what is expected to be an interesting Serie B game. The Sardinians are eager to stay in the playoffs berth, and you should know that they are undefeated in the previous nine league matches. There are no fresh injury worries in the home team ahead of the visit of Frosinone, with Greece midfielder Christos Kourfalidis pushing for a start.
The Canarini, on the other hand, aim to move one step closer to securing automatic Serie A promotion. Cagliari, though, want this win more than Frosinone, and that is the main reason why we are going to put our money on the hosts. Midfielder Karlo Lulic is sidelined with an ACL injury, but he should be the only absentee in the visiting team. In their last meeting in Sardinia Cagliari defeated Frosinone thanks to Joao Pedro’s goal from the penalty spot.
Highlighted Player (Marcus Rohden):
Marcus Rohden is a Sweden international who plays for Serie A side Crotone as a midfielder. Rohden started his football career at the youth team of Hossna IF and in 2007 he moved to IF Elfsborg. The Swede continued playing for the team at senior level and he scored 23 goals in 120 appearances in the league for Di Gule.
Marcus Rohden moved to Italy in 2016, signing a deal with Crotone and it has to be noted that he scored one goal, while providing four assists for his teammates in 34 appearances for the club in the 2016/2017 Serie A campaign.
He made his debut for the Swedish national football team on January 15, 2015 in a 2-0 win over Ivory Coast and he scored on his debut. He was born in Varnamo (Sweden) on May 11, 1991 and his main position is defensive midfield. Marcus Rohden can play as both central midfielder and right midfielder as well if needed.
Highlighted Team (Cagliari):
Cagliari are a professional football club based in Cagliari, Sardinia. I Rossoblu (The Red and Blues) compete in Italian Serie A and the club’s biggest success came in 1970, when they won the national championship.
Cagliari finished the season in top position in the standings, four points clear of Juventus and it has to be noted that Luigi Riva led Cagliari to their first Serie A trophy.
I Rossoblu welcome their rivals at Stadio Sant’Elia and the capacity of the stadium is 16,000. In the 1993/1994 season Cagliari made it to the UEFA Cup semis, with the team suffering a loss to fellow Italian club Inter in the two-legged tie.
Giuseppe Pancaro helped Cagliari record a 3-2 win over Inter in the first leg, but I Rossoblu were hammered by the Nerazzurri in the second leg (3-0). Palermo are regarded as Cagliari’s main rivals and the two teams square off against each other in the Derby delle Isole.
