Our prediction for this Serie B match:
Catanzaro take on Sassuolo at Stadio Nicola Ceravolo in the opening match of the new Serie B campaign. Catanzaro were struggling in preseason and they head into the season opener following a heavy Coppa Italia loss (1-4) to Empoli. As all Filippo Pittarello, Enrico Brignola, and Stefano Scognamillo are banned for the match, home win should not be considered.
The Neroverdi, on the other hand, are eyeing a quick return to the Italian elite division and given their fine display in the Italian Cup triumph over Cittadella, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the away team. A man to watch in the away side will be Andrea Pinamonti as experienced forward Domenico Berardi remains in the recovery room. It has to be noted that the two sides meet for the first time ever in the Serie B.
