Our prediction for this Serie B match:
Stadio Pier Cesare Tombolato will host Thursday’s football game between Cittadella and Brescia. La Citta aim to recover from back-to-back defeats to Sampdoria and Reggiana and they are likely to fight tooth and nail against Le Rondinelle. Both Djibril and Negro remain on the sidelines with injuries, while midfielder Alessio Vita serves a one-game ban.
Brescia, on the other hand, are eager to escape the relegation zone. As both Brescia and Cittadella will go for a win in the midweek clash, we are tempted to place our bets on both teams to score. You should bear in mind that under 2.5 goals have been netted in seven of the previous eight meetings between the two sides. Both Fogliata and Verreth are sidelined with injuries, while midfielder Massimo Bertagnoli is a major doubt. In the first half of the season, Cittadella defeated Brescia 1-0.
Highlighted Team (Brescia):

Hosting their rivals at Stadio Mario Rigamonti, the stadium with the capacity of 16,743, Brescia are Italian team founded back in 1911 under the name of Brescia Football Club. Le Rondinelle are well known for their blue and white shirts, but white is dominant colour in their away kit.
Atalanta are considered one of the club’s fiercest rivals, with the two teams facing each other in the Derby of Lombardy. The Stadio Mario Rigamonti outfit have rivalries with the likes of Inter, Hellas Verona and Cremonese as well. Roberto Baggio, who has 56 caps with the Italy national football team, is considered the most famous footballer who played for Brescia.
Robi scored 45 goals in 95 appearances in the Serie A for le Rondinelle. It has to be noted that the likes of Andrea Pirlo, Gheorge Hagi, Pep Guardiola, Luca Toni, Luigi Di Biagio and Dario Hubner were part of Brescia in the past as well. However, Mario Rigamonti is the club’s biggest legend as he died in the Superga air disaster back in 1949.
