Saturday’s football match at Stadio Benito Stirpe pits together Frosinone and Cittadella, the two teams who are almost level on points in the Serie B standings. The Canarini aim to remain unbeaten in the new Serie B campaign, and they are likely to rely on their rock-solid defence against La Citta. All Gabriel Charpentier, Hamza Haoudi, Raffaele Maiello, and Luigi Canotto are out of contention with injuries.
Cittadella, on the other hand, are low on confidence ahead of the trip to Frosinone as they were beaten by both Benevento and Lecce in the previous two league fixtures. Francesco Zampano is a product of Sampdoria’s youth school. The pacey full back, who is capable of playing as a midfielder as well, began his senior career at Entella, making 51 league appearances for the club between 2011 and 2013. At the end of the 2012/2013 campaign he moved to Verona, but he was immediately sent on loan to Juve Stabia.
After playing 33 league games for the club in the 2013/2014 season, he signed a loan deal with Pescara. In July, 2015 Zampano signed a permanent deal with Pescara and it has to be noted that he made 38 league appearances for the club in the 2015/2016 Serie B campaign.
The Italian footballer, who was born in Genoa on 30 September, 1993, has three caps for Italy U20, but he has yet to make his debut for the senior team. His contract with Pescara expires on 30 June, 2020.

Back in 1912 Frosinone were founded as Unione Sportiva Frusinate and it has to be noted that the colors of the team were originally red and blue. They were later changed to the current yellow and blue and the Canarini have been wearing those kits ever since. Frosinone made their first ever appearance in the Serie A in the 2015/2016 season, but they failed to secure the promotion.
The Canarini finished the season in 19th place in the standings, eight points behind Udinese, who eventually avoided relegation to Serie B. However, two years later Frosinone returned to the Italian top flight as they defeated Palermo 3-2 on aggregate in the play-offs final.
The club play their home games at Stadio Benito Stirpe, the stadium that was opened in 2017. The venue can hold 16,227 spectators and it is owned by the Municipality of Frosinone. The construction cost €20 million.
