Our prediction for this Serie A match:
A spot in the Champions League will be at stake when Atalanta and AS Roma square off against each other at Gewiss Stadium on Sunday evening. The Orobici came from behind to beat rock-bottom Salernitana on Monday, with the team moving one step closer towards the Champions League, but their job is not done yet. Both Teun Koopmeiners and Charles De Ketelaere are pushing for a start, while all Sead Kolasinac, Rafael Toloi, and Emil Holm remain in the recovery room.
The Giallorossi, on the other hand, head into the match following a 1-1 draw with Juventus. The capital club have a chance to climb to the Champions League berth, but beating Atalanta in Bergamo is easier said than accomplished. Taking everything into account, we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw. Daniele De Rossi has a luxury to field the best possible side against the Orobici.
Highlighted Player (Marten de Roon):
After spending his youth career in ASWH, Feyenoord and Sparta Rotterdam, Marten de Roon made his senior debut on 27 March 2010. The midfielder played for Sparta against Twente back then, but he made no more than three appearances for de Kasteelheren in the 2009/2010 season.
Marten de Roon joined Heerenveen in 2012 and in 2015 he moved to Serie A side Atalanta. He made 36 appearances for Atalanta in the 2015/2016 Serie A campaign, but on 4 July, 2016, he signed a contract with Middlesbrough for a reported fee of £12m. The Dutch footballer scored one goal in three appearances for Netherlands U19 team.
Marten de Roon was born in Zwinjndrecht, Netherlands on 29 March, 1991. His main position is central midfield, but he is capable of playing as a defensive and attacking midfielder as well. Martin de Roon is a right-footed footballer and he is 185 cm tall.
Highlighted Team (AS Roma):
AS Roma is a professional football club based in Rome. Roma were founded by a merger in 1927 and they play in the Italian Serie A. Roma’s fiercest rivals are Lazio and it has to be noted that both capital clubs play their home games at Stadio Olimpico. The two local rivals face each other in the Derby della Capitale, which is considered one of the most exciting derbies in the world of football.
The Giallorossi (The Yellow and Reds) have won three Serie A titles (1941/1942, 1982/1983, 2000/2001), while winning nine Coppa Italia trophies. The colour of Roma’s shirts is imperial purple with a golden yellow trim. A number of top-class footballers were part of Roma in the past, but Francesco Totti is undisputedly the club’s biggest legend. The Prince of Rom made his 601 appearances for Roma on 14 May, 2016 when the Giallorossi recorded a 3-1 win over Milan at Stadio San Siro.
