Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Genoa will try to put an end to their five-game winless run when they take on Atalanta on the penultimate day of the season. The Rossoblu are stuck in the middle of the table with nothing to play for in the season finale, but their pride will be at stake in Friday’s clash. Genoa did well to hold league leaders Napoli to a 2-2 draw at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona and, no doubt, they are determined to claim yet another major scalp in the season finale. Midfielder Morten Thorsby is back from suspension, while there are no fresh injury worries in the home team.
The Orobici, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over Monza and AS Roma. Atalanta survived the Giallorossi on Monday evening to book their spot in the Champions League. As a result, Gian Piero Gasperini’s men have little to play for in the season finale. Given their attacking potential and Genoa’s relaxed approach, we believe that there is a big value in betting on over 2.5 goals. The good news for the visitors is that defender Isak Hien is back from suspension.
